The Spirit of ’76 Museum relies on the generosity of friends and supporters to help preserve the unique and intriguing history of Wellington and other parts of southern Lorain County, build and expand educational exhibits within the museum, and provide the highest quality of service to our guests.
The Museum has recently began working with The Community Foundation of Lorain County to ensure the museum continues to grow and thrive for years to come. All of the money collected through donations will be put right back into The Spirit of ’76 Museum, and will make great strides towards preserving the future of our artifacts and exhibits.

Donations can also be made to the Museum in house, or via mail. Please refer to our contact section for more information on how to reach us.
If you have a piece of Wellington history that needs a good home, and you would like to donate it to The Spirit of ’76 Museum, please contact our office to schedule a time for drop off. A large part of the Museum’s collection is made possible due to the donations made by individuals who wish to see the history of Wellington and Southern Lorain County preserved for generations to come, and new additions are always welcome.
